Building Google Ads from zero to about $44K a month
The brand needed a brand-new Google Ads account with clear campaign roles and a product feed that could carry acquisition.
- Ad spend, February
- $44K
- Reported conversions

- Conversion value
- $137K
- Reported ROAS
- 3.12x
Brand’s stated break-even ROAS: 1.7x. The brand's stated break-even ROAS is 1.7x. Conversion value is reported by Google Ads.
What I found
No account, no history and a feed that wasn't ready for Shopping. Everything had to be built while staying above a 1.7x break-even.
What I decided
- Built and managed the Google Ads account from scratch.
- Ran Search, Shopping, Performance Max and remarketing with separate roles.
- Improved the Merchant Center feed so product ads had better data to work with.
Judged against
The brand's stated 1.7x break-even ROAS, from the first month of a brand-new account.
Reported result
In February 2026 the account spent about $44K and reported $137K in conversion value from 692 conversions, a 3.12x ROAS.
